BOATING

The Bahama Islands, although considered part of the Caribbean, are actually located in the warm turquoise waters of the Atlantic. The Port Lucaya Resort & Yacht Club is surrounded on three sides by the Port Lucaya Marina which can accommodate boats of up to 175 feet with complete yacht facilities including water, fuel, electricity, cable T.V. and telephone.

There is an annual Grand Bahama Sailing Regatta for boating enthusiasts and those who appreciate magnificent native sloops. In addition to trophies and cash prizes, the most sought after prize is the reputation of being a "champion of the seas".
